April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4, 1995) started her journey in music at the age of 7 in which she began guitar and piano lessons. April's very first song was called Different which she composed at the age of 12. When she was 14 April devoted a great deal of time to making song lyrics and working on her music. Over the next few months, she began taking writing trips with her father in LA as well as NY. April featured other topics in her hit song, Take my Hand. These topics included topics for her friends who dealt with issues such as peer pressure disabilities or even teen suicidal thoughts. Lockhart is a popular figure and also works as a lifestyle blogger at the well-known Ilia clean beauty brand. She has a disability that is a component of her identity, but it is not the whole image. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her disability. However, it doesn't emphasize the issue. What is the message? There is more to us than our physical selves. The identities we have are complex and include a myriad of dimensions. Lockhart speaks via video in Nashville. "I do not wish for it to dictate my life. I do not want to be merely known as a disability expert. It doesn't impact my everyday life. I still do all the normal things and I've adapted to my disabilities. It's a big element of my life so it is important to discuss it. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that can last for a long time, and she can be a role model for this purpose. Even so, Lockhart admits that she has had periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes that showed her arms. She dresses according to her preferences and is proud to post pictures of herself wearing the clothes she picks out on social media. What makes self-love so appealing to her is that it's not an end goal. This is true for everyone regardless of degree of self-confidence. It's essential to have those in your life who know and appreciate your situation. They'll be the ones who ask you: What do you worry about?
