Katherine Heigl reveals that she grew up in a white bubble, and how this realization affected how she cared for her adoptive, multiracial children. In an interview, she spoke about the "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted her looks didn't bother her, however, after having a conversation with her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of how much different the two were. Meg was asked if the way she was treated differed when they were out together with their parents, and in the case of going out on their own. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had resulted in me feeling." She confessed that she was frustrated, but she felt the need to use this anger to support her daughters. Heigl and her long-time husband -- singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 the black child) in 2012.
